For Generation Z and Generation Alpha (but by now for our own Generation Y as well), one of the most important skills is to be able to "reinvent oneself" - to have the cognitive flexibility to redefine yourself and your life situation anywhere, anytime, under any circumstances: what and who you really are, what you want in life, and why.
Several opinions came up in our panel discussion on the future employee, but we agreed on one thing: technological knowledge is becoming less and less avoidable, whatever profession is involved.
Most of the time, professions don't disappear because of innovation, they just transform. (For example, until now a graphic designer created illustrations. Now the graphic designer still creates them, only with the help of generative AI they make their work more efficient and even more creative.)
I'd have a lot to say to the generations coming after me (and to my teenage self with my current mind) as well as to my peers - so I've shared all the relevant knowledge I have, embedded in the story of my Super Sapiens book coming out in 2024, in connection with which the question arose in me: "why has nobody told me this before?"
This book isn't for everyone, but I especially recommend it to Generation Z and Generation Alpha. To those who like to read, for that reason. And to those who'd rather scroll through TikTok, for this reason: the book is composed so that even "instant content consumers" can enjoy the flow of the story - the flow itself.
This story isn't only about the hope of a long and healthy life (about biohacking and longevity), but also about a way of thinking:
reading the story of Super Sapiens, amid the great flow, Generation Z and Generation Alpha can also get an answer to the question of (looking at the whole picture) where the world is heading: where have we come from and where are we going? In other words: what should they study, what should they become, when they grow up?
